Water
Ivory food coloring
mix the confectioner’s sugar with a FEW DROPS of water at a time to form a thick yet workable icing

Is it just me or can everyone else not see the directions behind the first picture? I would really like to make these! I love coffee! (And, since it doesn’t stand out, maybe those other “non-coffee people” will eat them too!)

Ok~ there are so many things to say here~ first off I heart your banner. Too darn cute! The photographs are some mighty fine cupcake porn. I absolutely covet your cupcake liners. And oh yeah- wonderful cupcake hero entry!
Recommendation for the coffee flavor: lose the milk and add 1/4 cup espresso OR use espresso powder which totally rocks and gives you a much better coffee flavor than regular coffee grounds. I’ve picked up so many helpful ideas from cupcake hero it’s really crazy! Great job all around tho.

The cupcakes sound wonderful. I printed out the recipe.
Also, since you’re obviously into baking, you might enjoy FohBoh, the professional networking site of the Restaurant Industry. It’s open to foodies, so you don’t need to be an executive chef working in a restaurant and membership is free; but it’s got all kinds of video tutorials for cooking and culinary techniques along with recipes.
You might want to check it out.
Cheers!
